Behind the Veil
03:16
|
|||
Wake up, work yourself to the bone
They sit comfortably upon their throne
Minutes go by, for you it's the entire day
Trying to speak, but you are put up on display
Hiding behind the veil
You've run out of options
You're set up to fail
Take a break and exhale
Your mind's not for auction
Your soul's not for sale
You give up yourself, they still want more
A tip of the hat, you're kicked to the floor
Patience runs dry, this can't be all that we deserve
They judge, they laugh, while all they do is observe
Hiding behind the veil
You've run out of options
You're set up to fail
Take a break and exhale
Your mind's not for auction
Your soul's not for sale
Now that I can finally breathe
It's easier just to see
What has been in front of me
All along

Trepidation
03:27
|
|||
It's in the air, feelings of dread
Lost in despair, all in your head
Search for an exit
Run to the door
Trembling now but not like before
Anxiety has shaken me
And I just need to break free
The moon sits high, on this clear dark sky
Fear finds you, in a cold dark room
Pray for the things you fear the most
Leave this old house they haunt like a ghost
Le there in bed with doubts in your head
As time begins to pass your skin will start to shed
The sound of trees, shrieks against glass
The floorboards creek, shadows block your path
Heart begins to race, your hands being to shake
Feel it in your bones as they begin to ache
Anxiety has shaken me
And I just need to break free
The moon sits high, on this clear dark sky
Fear finds you, in a cold dark room
Pray for the things you fear the most
Leave this old house they haunt like a ghost
Lie there in bed with doubts in your head
As time begins to pass your skin will start to shed

Until Lambs Become Lions
04:06
|
|||
Time and time again, we face this constant fear
Never knowing when we'll make it out of here
The climb may seem too steep, it's getting hard to breathe
As long as we still keep momentum up to speed
We're only flesh and bone, the choice is ours alone
Don't you worry don't you break, rise again for our own sake
I know you're feeling weak, I know you're feeling tired
We're almost at the peak, it's just a little higher
I will not give in
When the lights have all gone dim
The world may seem so grim
But it's not just sink or swim
The world has gone to shit
I won't give in, I won't quit
The world's a sinking ship, a harbor of abandonment
I thought the challenge was beneath me, I thought defeat was in the past
Here's a shadow just to greet me, the flag is flying at half-mast
We're only flesh and bone, the choice is ours alone
Don't you worry don't you break, rise again for our own sake
I know you're feeling weak, I know you're feeling tired
We're almost at the peak, it's just a little higher
I will not give in
When the lights have all gone dim
The world may seem so grim
But it's not just sink or swim

Under New Kingdoms
05:49
|
|||
In the distance saw lighting strike a tree
Smoke and red flowers were all I could see
Rain came in, washed debris away
Sun begins to set, the colors soon will fade
Fear leads to anger, anger leads to hate
Suffering consumes you
This won't be your fate
If I die, then let my soul
Be just enough to pay the toll
For all of those we left behind
And be the sight for those still blind
Like a star at its birth
Before it nurtures a brand new earth
Fire within turns to ashes that fall
Can't learn to run before you learn to crawl
Fear leads to anger, anger leads to hate,
Suffering consumes you
This won't be your fate
If I die, then let my soul
Be just enough to pay the toll
For all of those we left behind
And be the sight for those still blind
